Lena Headey is a Bermudian-British actress known for her role as "Cersei Lannister" in Game of Thrones (2011) and The Brothers Grimm (2005), Possession (2002), and The Remains of the Day (1993).

Lena Headey was born in Hamilton, Bermuda, to British parents Sue and John Headey. Her father, a police cadet from Yorkshire, was stationed with the Bermuda police force. She grew up there until the age of five, when her family returned to England. She grew up in Yorkshire before moving to London in her teens. Headey did not go to drama school before becoming an actress. At the age of seventeen, Headey's appearance in a one-off show with six school friends caught the attention of a casting agent, who took a photo of her and asked her to audition. Eventually, Headey was chosen for the role in Waterland (1992), which was her big screen debut. During filming, She honed her natural acting talent and also took lessons in archery and horse training. She also took boxing lessons at clubs in south London, where a former boxer taught her how to spar. In a film career spanning over 15 years, Headey has demonstrated her versatility in a variety of roles. She has played characters ranging from Amazonian warriors and action-orientated women in The Cave (2005) and The Brothers Grimm (2005) to a lesbian florist in Imagine Me & You (2005). She has also appeared in television series such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008-2009). In addition to her work as an actress, Headey continues to take boxing lessons in London. She is a vegetarian and also remains faithful to yoga, which she discovered while working in India. She has never been to her birthplace in Bermuda, but lives alternately in London, England, and Los Angeles, California.
