Ed Bastian is an American business executive who is currently the CEO of Delta Air Lines. He has been recognized for his leadership and executive skills. In 2018, Fortune magazine named him among "The World's 50 Greatest Leaders".

Before joining Delta, Bastian held senior finance positions at Frito-Lay International and Pepsi-Cola International, and he started his career with Price Waterhouse, where he became an audit partner in its New York practice. He joined Delta in 1998 as Vice President - Finance and Controller and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2000 . He left Delta in 2005 to become Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Acuity Brands, but returned to Delta six months later to become Chief Financial Officer. In 2007, he was appointed to serve as Delta's President. He became the CEO of Delta Air Lines on May 2, 2016, and currently leads a team of over 90,000 global professionals. In 2021, he was awarded for his Executive Leadership in Flight Global's 2021 Airline Strategy Awards and named among the Top 10 CEOs of 2021 in Glassdoor's Employees' Choice Awards as a leader who excelled at supporting their people.
