Agile Therapeutics’ Develops Contraceptive Health Products: The company's lead product is Twirla, also known as AG200-15, a once-weekly prescription hormonal combination contraceptive patch. Agile Therapeutics, Inc. is also developing a pipeline of Twirla line extensions and other products, including AG200-15 Extended Regimen (ER), a regimen that allows a woman to have four abortion bleedings per year; AG200-15 smaller patch (SmP), a regimen that allows shorter and lighter withdrawal bleeds, and improves contraceptive effectiveness; AG200-15 ER SmP, a regimen that allows a woman to lengthen her contraceptive cycle and provides shorter and lighter withdrawal bleeds per year; and P-Patch, a progestin-only contraceptive patch for women who cannot or do not want to take estrogen.

Twirla® Is a Weekly Hormonal Contraceptive Patch: Twirla® (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol) transdermal system is designed to provide women with a contraceptive option that frees them from taking the pill every day without committing to a longer-acting method. Twirla® is a weekly hormonal contraceptive patch for women with a body mass index (BMI) of less than 30 kg/m2 who may become pregnant. Twirla® and other products in the pipeline are based on proprietary transdermal patch technology called Skinfusion®, which enables the delivery of medication through the skin.
