Gritstone bio EDGE: The first platform of Gritstone bio's immunotherapy is to understand the antigens and neoantigens and in particular those that are transcribed, translated, processed and presented on the cell surface by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules and thus visible to T cells. Gritstone achieves this by using Gritstone EDGE, our proprietary artificial intelligence-based platform.

Proprietary Vaccine Platform Drives Potent Immune Response: The second platform is Gritstone bio's ability to embed the immunogen into the proprietary delivery systems or vectors to promote the generation of T cells and neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) and stimulate the immune system to attack and destroy diseased cells.

Headquarters and Foundation of Gritstone Bio: The company was formerly known as Gritstone Oncology, Inc. and changed its name to Gritstone bio, Inc. in May 2021. Gritstone bio, Inc. was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Emeryville, Calif.
