TTP399 Treats Type1 Diabetes: TTP399 completed the SimpliciT-I Study, a Phase II trial in patients with type I diabetes as an add-on to insulin therapy. TTP399 is an orally administered, small molecule, liver-selective glucokinase activator (GKA) in development potential oral anti-diabetic for the treatment of type I diabetes. It restores normal liver function when glucose levels are high: it traps glucose in liver cells, promotes further glucose uptake for energy production and storage, and keeps the liver in a "fed" state, preventing ketone production.

vTv Therapeutics Is Advancing Several Orally Administered Drugs: vTv Therapeutics is advancing HPP737, an orally administered, non- central nervous system (CNS) penetrant phosphodiesterase type 4 (PDE4) inhibitor that addresses inflammatory diseases. In addition, there is TTP273 which is an orally available, small molecule glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist focused on treating postprandial hyperglycemia in cystic fibrosis related diabetes (CFRD) patients and cystic fibrosis patients. Its products pipeline also includes the Nrf2/Bach1 Modulator Program.
