Ime Sunday Udoka is a Nigerian-American professional basketball coach and former player.
He was born on August 9, 1977, in Portland, Oregon, and attended Portland's Jefferson High School. Udoka played college basketball at the University of San Francisco and later played professionally in the NBA and internationally. He also played for the Nigerian national team, leading them in scoring, assists, and steals at the 2006 FIBA World Championships. Udoka's most recent coaching position was as the head coach for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was suspended for the entirety of the 2022-23 NBA season due to "violations of team policy". On April 26, 2023, Udoka became the 16th Head Coach of the Houston Rockets
