Michael Milken philanthropy began in the 1970s and expanded in 1982 with the establishment of the Milken Family Foundation.In 2023, HarperCollins published his memoir, "Faster Cures: Accelerating the Future of Health," which details his work in medical research and public health over the past half-century. The Milken Institute is an independent economic think tank based in Santa Monica, California, with offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Miami, London, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore. It was founded in 1991.
