Before joining Oracle, Catz was a banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, serving as a managing director from February 1997 to March 1999 and a senior vice president from January 1994 to February 1997 and previously held various investment banking positions since 1986. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Oracle since 2001, and was a director of HSBC Holdings from 2008 through 2015. Safra Catz has been instrumental in transforming Oracle into a cloud company and an AI player and she has been recognized for her leadership in the tech industry and has been named to Forbes' list of the World's 100 Most Powerful Women multiple times.
