About Rachel Kyte

Rachel Kyte is a British academic who served as the 14th dean of The Fletcher School at Tufts University from October 2019 to June 2023, and the first woman to lead the oldest graduate-only school of international affairs in the United States.

Rachel Kyte is currently co-chair of the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI), a member of the board of the Private Infrastructure Development Group with responsibility for environment, social and governance (ESG) and a member of the G20 expert group on multilateral development bank (MDB) reform set up by the Indian government. She is also an advisor to General Atlantic’s Beyond Net Zero Fund and a board member of the Carbon Policy Initiative. In addition, Rachel Kyte is an advisor to Mahindra University’s Center for Sustainable Development and plays a leading role at the World Economic Forum in the areas of trade, climate, energy and minerals. Rachel regularly speaks and writes on topics such as mobilizing finance for climate action, energy transition and climate diplomacy. She has been recognized for her leadership on both sides of the Atlantic and was made a Companion of St Michael and St George (CMG) in the 2020 New Year Honors for her services to energy supply and tackling climate change.
